I'm huge #discworld fan. I re-read/listen everything from #sirterrypratchett once a year. So when it was time to decide a graduation work subject back in #ceramic studies.. I didn't need to think long.

So here's my big Discworld #sculpure. All is there, #a'tuin #elephants and the #disc.
Mostly made by #clay but the sea is melted plastic.
I did take some #artistic freedom with elephants.

After a hiatus of over two weeks, I have a new #bike. When I took the last one in for a service, the replacement of worn out components would have been nearly as high as the cost of a new one. So I decided to retire it and to get a new one. Instead of #black, this time I’ve gone for #red which and this one has #disc, rather than #rim #brakes. Welp. As I feared, the 12x DVD-RAM #Disc I bought from #Japan is completely incompatible with my external #BluRay Player and my 2011 MacBook’s in-built #DVD Player. And looking online, DVD-RAM2 capable external disc drives are non-existent, and I don’t have a #computer capable of using one of the very rare internal ones. Guess I now have this weird, out of place, semi-useless piece of technological history. Not even sure if it’s worth returning. Oh well. Into the “Data Storage” sorting bin you go.
