good morning, enjoy a crime cat.
#TheCrimeCats say the real estate of your mind is being squatted by the corporations. they don't need or want your consent, so don't ever give it.
I visited MoMA recently, which currently has Lichtenstein's "Drowning Girl" on display. The image was taken from Tony Abruzzo's art from Secret Hearts #83. Not unlike Bill Griffith in today's Zippy, I'm torn between being glad Lichtenstein raised attention to comics art, but pissed he was dishonest about doing so & didn't credit (much less pay!) the original artists.

RIP comic creator Jack Katz
I got a complete set of The First Kingdom when my father gave me his old comics collection a couple years ago; I kept meaning to read but never did. Probably high time I do.

We serve incarcerated readers in 35 US states. Fortunately, there are other #prison book programs sending #books to people in the 15 states we lack the resources to serve.
One of those programs, Books to Prisoners Seattle, has a partnership with the wonderful people at @outsidercomics who help them get comic books that comply with prisons' arcane rules. Read Outsider Comics' fascinating account of how they select #comics and #manga for incarcerated people:

I was about to dismiss the Fantastic Four: First Steps movie tie-in comic out of hand. But they apparently are presenting it as if it's an in-universe comic so I might have to check it out.

SEEDS OF SPRING UPDATE:
I've decided to put the PDF's of books 1 through 5 of my ongoing comic book series, Seeds of Spring, on sale at 3$ instead of 5$ on my Ko-Fi page.

In this innovative serial graphic novel, Naguset, a modern Canadian Mi'kmaq teenager, exchanges books and mix tapes with her pen pal, Chris. Her imagination sparks when he sends her a biography of the 19th century Russian anarchist Peter Kropotkin. The story juxtaposes Naguset's personal and political coming-of-age in her loving family home with Kropotkin's rocky upbringing in a princely palace. These two stories of eventful lives and bold hearts are interwoven with Kropotkin's theories of freedom, Mi'kmaq vocabulary and social history, and an uplifting punk soundtrack, creating a unique reading experience bound to inspire readers to think in new ways about the issues of our time.
Physical books are also available from Microcosm Publishing https://microcosmpublishing.com/catalog/zines/10448
Seeds of Spring is written by Christopher Coquard and is illustrated by me.
Genius!
Trying a few more comics using some of my old IRL photos here and there. It's surprisingly fun.
Batman update…
It's progressing nicely.
When I started this, I had barely worked with Blender's Texture Paint, as I usually prefer high-polygon sculpting with vertex painting.
So, after several hours of texture painting I saved the scene and exited Blender… Only to discover that I had forgotten to save the texture as well.
Another lesson learned.
