1. Resting on the patio today to soothe muscles I’d forgotten I had, re-discovered during yesterday’s marathon closet clean out.
2. I didn’t realize my “out of control root stock” rose had filled its 10’x10’x10’ corner space. The bloom itself isn’t special, but the grotto it forms is spectacular. The cheeky rose climbs 15’ up into surrounding trees. 
3. All the jasmine & mock orange got together last night & voted to bloom today. Heavenly!

Tuesday, April 29 
1. Vagabond son (who leaves with his family tomorrow for NOLA) re-screened my slider and brought me a Costco rotisserie chicken. 
2. Had enough energy to deadhead some of the spent roses and feed the plants fertilizer. Next bloom, five weeks.
3. Relaxing on the patio and my little peanut-eater came and stretched out about two feet from me. (Below)

2. All my roses are blooming right on time, even those which struggle for light & life through the depths of oleanders & myrtle in my overgrown garden.

I'm ok with reading how shit it is, it's worse for many than it is for me and I don't want to close my eyes to that, but it's nice to see people finding joy in the small things. 1. New couches arrived today on time and look better than I’d hoped. My living room is back in feng shui harmony, & the little patio rock garden with annuals & bonsai is more visible just outside the slider.
2. Vagabond son & DIL’s three-truck caravan to Phoenix today has been an easy & safe 800 miles — they’re almost home.
3. Finished & crossed off the oldest (at least six months) item on my to-do list! 
4. Bonus: Granddaughter No. 3 texted new pics of her Ollie, since I quit Instagram.
1. Watching my senior dog run joyfully on the beach. My heart!
2. Getting tickets to see Parker Posey at our town hall and reading the fine print indicating I should wear my best pajamas to her pajama party.
3. Discovering all of my seeds sprouted and are on their way to becoming edible plants that I can share with my beloveds.
