#Linux #FOSS people - looking for recommendations of photo library software.
I currently have photos organized in folders by date taken, but after 17+ years, that's pushing the limits of my ability to find things decently quickly (both filesystem performance and my memory performance).
So I'm looking for something that preferably:
- can handle ~100k files, ~1 TB (key requirement)
- supports adding tags (preferably via something like XMP sidecars?), including to a batch of photos (e.g. all photos taken on a given day/week)
- can quickly jump to a given date
- can quickly jump to a given tag combination
- preferably can also handle short video files, but not crucial
- editing etc not required
- AI/ML features not required
- generally the simpler the better
- bonus points if it's been around for 5+ years and Debian packages it
