Upcoming EU age verification app will basically depend entirely on Google, due to dependency on Play integrity API. Talk about data sovereignity is just that; talk.

Oh and I got GPS working too! The least amount of troubleshooting required, I just had to enable "Location" in the settings app

The reason I didn't find it was because it was "hidden" under "Privacy & Security". I'm sure all of that will be baked in to the Welcome app at some point to save you from having to go look for everything yourself, so no biggie!

I feel like #degoogle seems to embody a greater movement to leave bigtech. Here are the crazy things I've done over the last month or so.
- Installed Arch on my laptop about a month ago
- re-engaged my Mastodon and Bluesky while deleting Twitter and unfriending everyone on Facebook
- Installed GrapheneOS on my Pixel
- Moved email to custom domain and Tuta from Gmail
- Moved to NextCloud in place of Google Drive
- Moved photos from Google Photos to Ente Photos

Part One......

Canceled my Google One subscription! Uploaded 90GB of photos to @ente. Deleted all photos and drive storage from Google and have my old gmail forwarding to my @Tutanota account. I believe I can have my gmail delete after forwarding, but I need to check.
