Knowledge Navigator Persona
A VisionOS AI persona in a frame on a wall (or on your desk). In real life, not just in VisionOS!
KN listens and watches you, responds verbally, or directs its response to one of your screens, but lives in the frame.
Knowledge Navigator, but centered on a Google Beam quality persona. 
This was my guess — and wish — for what Jony and Sam might try doing together.
Io’s Missing Magma Ocean
In the late 1970s, scientists conjectured that Io was likely a volcanic world, heated by tidal forces from Jupiter that squeeze it along its elliptical orbit. Only months later, images from Voyager 1’s flyby confirmed the moon’s volcanism. Magnetometer data from Galileo’s later flyby suggested that tidal heating had created a shallow magma ocean that powered the moon’s volcanic activity. But newly analyzed data from Juno’s flyby shows that Io doesn’t have a magma ocean after all.
The new flyby used radio transmission data to measure any little wobbles that Io caused by tugging Juno off its expected course. The team expected a magma ocean to cause plenty of distortions for the spacecraft, but the effect was much slighter than expected. Their conclusion? Io has no magma ocean lurking under its crust. The results don’t preclude a deeper magma ocean, but at what point do you distinguish a magma ocean from a body’s liquid core?
Instead, scientists are now exploring the possibility that Io’s magma shoots up from much smaller pockets of magma rather than one enormous, shared source. (Image credit: NASA/JPL/USGS; research credit: R. Park et al.; see also Quanta)

Mimo problemów prawnych, partnerstwo OpenAI i Jony’ego Ive’a wciąż jest aktualne. Projekt, wyceniany na 6,5 miliarda dolarów, zakłada integrację zespołu Ive’a z grupą badawczo-inżynieryjną OpenAI w San Francisco.
Watched a piece on AI companions on CBS Mornings, and it crystallized my guess at Sam Altman and Jony Ive’s goal with their always-around AI device. It can free up your primary device by storing your AI training, personalization, history, etc. in a dedicated optimized device. Inquiries go to the cloud. Device applies context and gives you what you want, how you want it, on your phone, tablet, PC, TV, earbuds, or wherever you want it. #OpenAI #io

22 maja 2025 roku Wielka Brytania i Mauritus podpisały umowę o przekazaniu zwierzchności nad Archipelagiem Czagos, który stanowi całość Brytyjskiego Terytorium Oceanu Indyjskiego. Umowa nie została jeszcze ratyfikowana.
Mnie osobiście bardziej, niż kwestie polityczne, interesuje, co się stanie z domeną .io. Mauritius jest państwem unitarnym, w związku z czym należy zakładać, że BTOI zostanie rozwiązane. W związku z powyższym należy się spodziewać jego wykreślenia ze wszystkich standardów ISO. Jest to istotne, ponieważ domeny krajowe najwyższego poziomu (ccTLD), zgodnie z wytycznymi Jona Postela, świeć WANie nad jego duszą, tworzone są w oparciu o standard ISO 3166-1, czyli dwuliterowe kody krajów i terytoriów zależnych.
Po wykreśleniu kodu io ze ww. standardu, prawdopodobnie niedługo potem zostanie usunięta ze strefy dns także domena .io.
Zastanawiam się, co się stanie z nazwami zarejestrowanymi w tej domenie. Widzę 3 rozwiązania:
1. nazwy zostaną przetransferowane do domeny Mauritiusu, .mu;
2. użytkownicy dostaną czas na przeniesienie swoich stron pod inne adres, po czym domena .io zostanie wygaszona;
3. zarządca domeny znajdzie jakiś sposób, aby ją nadal utrzymywać - casus .su.

Not surprised to see this news. Jony has done some amazing things over the years with the design of the iPhone and other products. Sucks to see him navigate towards AI.

The bright spots in the animation indicate locations with higher temperatures caused by volcanic activity, including an area with such a strong signal that it saturated the sensor.

Wow. Amazing to think that this image is a real place out there, with those wild colors and textures!
Here is a gorgeous image of Io taken by the NASA Juno spacecraft on Dec 30, 2023 from a distance of 4,262 km.
I added approx. latitude and longitude info and the names of a few prominent volcanic depressions known as Paterae. Juno's image of Io covers the northern hemisphere with the area from longitude 0° to 90° basking in the Sun's rays.

Van binnen naar buiten: #Europa, #Io, #Ganymedes en #Callisto. #Jupiter staat i/h oostnoordoosten op een hoogte van 18gr boven de horizon. De #Zon staat 36gr onder de horizon en het is goed donker.
