The “razor blade throat” Variant of Covid is putting more people in the hospital in China, and has already been detected in New York and other major US cities

“In mainland China, the portion of patients going to ER with COVID more than doubled in the last month — from 7.5% to more than 16%. The portion in hospital for COVID also doubled, to more than 6%”

Vaccines were designed to keep people out of the hospital.

Restricting access to boosters runs the risk of overwhelming the healthcare system.

The public health messaging is confusing. They say this variant doesn’t appear “more severe” while also saying number of people in hospital has doubled.

I fail to see how it can simultaneously be “not more severe” and also be causing a doubling of severe cases.

As always, get your booster if you still can.

Remember that a layered approach works best. Wear a well fitted respirator like an N95, clean & ventilate the air, stay home when sick.

You're higher risk for everything when pregnant, including severe Covid. It causes low birth weight babies & all kinds of issues.

Studies have shown that after contracting Covid in pregnancy, the placenta is exhausted by the infection and can’t recover immune function. They also suggest babies born to mothers who’ve had Covid need to be monitored throughout childhood.

Of course RFK Jr doesn’t care about that. Because “only the sick kids and mothers die of Covid”. You know, the ones he doesn’t want to survive anyways.

Covid isn’t over. It’s still killing & disabling people

We were sold a comfortable lie to get back to work. Back to spending money. Back to “normal”

Normal isn’t working, and with the US restricting access to the vaccine, we will see more death & disability

When mask mandates were enacted to try and save lives, the right screamed about freedom.

When mask bans were passed? They celebrated. Because it’s not about freedom.

With vaccine mandates, they screamed about autonomy.

When vaccines get restricted, they cheer. Because it’s not about autonomy.

It’s about control. It’s about perpetuating the illusion that Covid is over. It’s about eugenics. It’s about thinning the herd but culling the weak & vulnerable.

And for many, it’s about payback. They haven’t dealt with their own trauma from the early days of Covid, and like bullies do, they’re taking it out on the most vulnerable in society.

These decisions cost lives. Criminalizing masks and restricting vaccines will kill and disable people.

Speak up. Call and email elected officials. Tell them to vote No on mask bans, Medicaid cuts and restricting vaccines. Tell them to do better.

She articulates what many of us have been saying for years… the pandemic didn’t end because the threat passed, it ended due to public pressure and denial:

She’s an incredible advocate. At the tender age of 19 she’s using her platform and privilege to advocate for the most vulnerable in society.

She fights for the disabled, elderly, children, the marginalized, those living in poverty and imprisoned.

She’s one of the few people consisting calling for clean air in prisons as well as schools and hospitals.
