The main thing I notice about using #chatai like #chatgpt or #bard is they allow me to bypass garbage web results. The #enshittification of google results is a large factor in me choosing to use bard over search. I already don't use bing's chatai much because it feels spammy: the side toolbar along with "games" and "shopping" buttons and the responses are cluttered. I like that bing cites sources but the mouse over pop-ups and "shitty customer support chat" feel is off-putting. #ui

I've said it before but it's worth repeating anytime new #AI tech comes out.

AI will never replace programmers. It's a laughable proposition. Programming is not some memorized list of spells. It's communication: nothing more and nothing less than being extremely specific about what you want the computer to do.

If your prompt is specific enough for the AI to generate the code you want, you are programming. If not, you're pretending.
