Big News for #OpenSource in Medicine: Our AMPEL-CDSS is expanding to Dresden!
With €1M funding from Saxony, our clinical clinical support system will be scaled, further developed, and studied in real-world applications at Dresden University Hospital and beyond. The 3-year project is led by the new department MedKIT (more soon!) and involves multiple partners in Leipzig and Dresden. Exciting collaboration ahead!

How can we get more #OpenSource into medicine, especially into the medical device landscape? Martin Federbusch (Project Leader of AMPEL) led a discussion at Analytica in Munich on this topic. The occasion was the Open Source release of the #AMPEL #Sepsis Early Detection Model based on the complete blood count. Open Source in routine care is gaining momentum: it's no longer about the "Why," but about the "How"!
Let's do it!
There are only 18 days remaining until our call for papers closes. Submit before it's too late. We're eager to see what you have prepared. Join us at @defcon Don't miss this opportunity!

@DrK I've also got a Google sheet of #MedicalAI people pinned on my profile. They're not all #medicalimaging people, but feel free to add yourself and follow some of the others on there
My name is Philipp and I am a Professor of Data Science at the University of Tübingen. My lab is at the Medical School and we work on a range of topics in #computational #neuroscience, #machinelearning for #genomics and #medicalAI for #ophthalmology. Also, I care about #machinelearning and #AI for #Africa. Find the start of a lab intro playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL05umP7R6ij33AS48nwsomvYoXAydqY6_ (more videos to come)
@mark if you want some #MedicalAI people I have a Google sheet pinned on my profile!
Also, please use #MedicalAI so we can all find each other! (credit to @jmlipman and @wendyfyx for the idea)
I've moved the #MedicalAI list to a google sheet.
