I maintain (remotely) ~10 linux laptops for a client. I've used #ubuntu LTS for years because they don't need anything fancy, stability is more important that bang-up-to-dateness. But I've gone off Ubuntu because of #snaps and it increasingly pushing adverts/pro-services.
Anyone got any experience with remote admin-ing and maintaining linux laptops? Would prefer #gnome based.

- mentioned bolder fonts for dark appearance, to match macOS approach

I just found that the latest #linuxMint installer is #accessible with #orca. I was using the #MATE spin. Someone at the Mint team clearly checked this; love to see it. Please don't break it.

My transition from #macOS to #FreeBSD continues. I set up most of the shortcuts in #Mate to use CMD instead of CTRL, including those in #Firefox. This time, however, I'm changing the shortcuts on a per-app basis rather than globally, since the latter approach didn't work well.
CMD+C/V, etc works well.
I want to tweak Dock's theme or even code, to match macOS better. In macOS it has a margin to the edge.
Notice fonts rendering. I tweak it to match macOS too.
