We can only stop this if we work together.

I feel I am even unable to follow current law projects against #encryption or #AgeVerification arguments. I am just tired, angry and annoyed with this crap. The most annoying thing is their lying about "protecting children"... all while everyone makes intentional effort to exploit the same children for own profit. And even if this part would be true... Why they have to choose one group to be safe and everyone else would have to deal with increasing #internet toxicity?
It's like they said "we made this area poisonus and radioactive and now we have to think about poor children affected by this. So let's verify everyone's identity to make sure they are mature enough to deal with radioactivity!"
And then "Oh, by the way, it could be convenient to mark dissidents' zones as harmful too..."

And even now they actively create more and more harmful things, embracing it and poison everything with it... also killing planet in the process.

I don't want to reveal my identity and don't want to deal with their radioactivity at all!

The Commission's guidelines on Art. 28 DSA suggest platforms should introduce what looks like #UploadFilters and #chatcontrol as a way to protect kids.
Commission is aware (I told Prabhat Agarwal in person), but the wording stays in the latest leak from 04/07. If you have authority and ways of flagging this to him, please do!

The wording also suggests the processing would not be limited to on-device (unlike what is requested by the EP in its CSAR position).

Open question/food for thought, especially for people living in EU/EEA jurisdictions, about #privacy: How would you go about personal messaging in a worst case scenario with #ChatControl?

Just go on with your life (either because you and your friends already use a very hard to block, secure messaging service, or because you accept surveillance)? Fire up your own IRC server as an Onion service? #Cwtch? #Briar? Start writing a lot of letters on paper, because your handwriting is a great cipher after all those years behind a keyboard?

Een panel van experts heeft de Europese Commissie in een rapport onlangs aangeraden om wettelijk ‘achterpoortjes’ verplicht te stellen in alle slimme apparaten,; je telefoon, je tv, je koelkast.. Zo kan justitie zien welke gegevens er opstaan.
