Question and/or idea for a more #userFriendly #fediverse

One of my friend is trying mastodon rn, he tried to subscribe to an account and had the message "to continue, you need to follow from your account" (image below in french)

I sometimes have this problem as well when I click on a link to add a new tab, and suddenly I'm not on my server anymore and I am asked the same thing !

Isn't there a way, when you already have an account that you use all the time, to stay connected ?

Do you know the 90s/00s web comic #UserFriendly about people working at an #ISP?

It was *the* tech-related #comic before #xkcd was a thing! It still has its charm and I'm so happy that @mms created a feed that gives us our daily dosis of #UF:

Also User Friendly in '90s slamming Microsoft for shipping garbage is pretty depressing. 25 years later, nothing's changed there.

Apple went from shipping cute but not great machines & OS to a great UNIX workstation, and now to dominating phones and making the only good desktops you can get.

Why hasn't Microsoft improved *at all*‽ If anything Win11 seems to be worse than 10, which was worse than Vista, … XP, … 2000. I guess that was better than NT, 98, or 95. Ugh.
