How do I know it has 914 feet, you ask? Bulk cable has lengths printed on the jacket! By subtracting the last length at one end from the first length at the other, you can find out exactly (to the foot anyway) how much you have left! #TheMoreYouKnow
Finally! I solved an issue I've been having with Ripgrep (rg) showing me annoying output.
The short version is that Ripgrep would often show me output like [... 0 more matches] or [... 2 more matches] at the end of each line of output instead of the matching text. This is super annoying!
The answer is that it’s caused by the —max-column and —max-column-preview options being enabled.
I feel much better now that I’ve solved this. I hope this helps you.

Molasses is such a weird substance. It’s incredibly sticky and gums up any mechanical equipment it comes into contact with. It spreads like a virus. When it’s crystallized it is a fine powdered cloud but becomes viscous on surfaces. It attracts flies and is nontoxic.

@dsalo Jeebus Cripes...Do you think this is because the library took shortcuts on web design and code, or because the low ball contractor they hired did it? Or, a series of badly planned ad hoc additions over time.
Maybe in this case, it was that no one was monitoring the enshittification of Cloudfront.
You've looked at these issues more than I have, what do you think?

Did YOU know, that in docker-compose.yml the env_file setting is for env files that will be used exclusively for the container env, whereas having .env file next to docker-compose.yml will make the env vars from that file available for ${FOO} interpolation in the yml?!?!
Haha. Oh the options one finds when willing to explore. I often come across posts in other languages, esp German posts (Germans love #FOSS stuff!) and I don't read German.... So I often skim and get a just of whats being presented based on hashtags... Until I click the '...' Option found in my app and choose "translate". What in the actual love of tech. Yes! Thank you!
