It’s so true!
Honestly, their school is obsessed with disciplining; obedience overrides everything else. None of this equips them for dealing with the challenges they, the world will face in 10 years time. So depressing. #Education

In addition to populating multiplayer envs as soon as they are launched, an immersive persistent environment requires long-term temporal coherence in relationships with NPCs.
What exists today is minimal.
However, while the time available for the #IA on a console is counted in milliseconds/cycle, which limits the richness of the NPCs, the same cannot be said for a persistent game.

@stux Looks fun! I really support this kind of reactive behavior. I have a behavior control -type method for #robots (aka #NPCs) that responds to stimuli (internal as well as external) as well as their personality characteristics. My technical approach is a frankenstein of motivation #psychology research and #AI behavior trees. Wish I had a game-like dev environment like yours, and a bit more recent coding experience.
Good morning everyone :) This is your periodic reminder that women exist in your game worlds too, and if you read through your list of NPCs and they're overwhelmingly male, you might want to examine why that is.
(Here's a handy tip that I use to combat unconscious bias: once you're done writing your NPCs, gender-flip all of them. No exceptions. If the result seems weird, well now you've got something else to examine)
