Mae<p><span>getting my computer fixed<br>after only a year and a half of existence it needs a new battery, which will apparently take a week to get replaced. </span><a href="https://hollow.raccoon.quest/tags/macs" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#macs</a><span> amiright?<br><br>i installed </span><a href="https://hollow.raccoon.quest/tags/ubuntu" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ubuntu</a><span> on my old computer (which im using now lol) but didn't know how to use it so i went through the painful process of trying to install my password manager on it before giving up and installing macos catalina on a flash drive (barely knew what i was doing for that lmao) and it took fucking AGES. anyway...i FINALLY got it installed and now im on macos catalina talking to the fediverse :)<br><br>i is a tired girl tho...its late...</span>😴😴<span><br>got school tmrw<br>byebyeeeeee</span></p>

@stroughtonsmith Many don't see Apple as the underdog/ally anymore. The Mark Zuckerberg using an iBook to build Facebook, Kevin Systrom making #Instagram an iOS exclusive days are over. Even Google telling its employees only certain groups can get #Macs these days. A lot of it is intentional for both fear and market control.

I do disagree since #AppleSilicon-based #Macs don't have a seperate #Flash for the #Apple-#EFI & #BridngeOS so when the #Flash dies they are a braindead brick and since Apple went #ThinkDifferent they chose to use #SolderedDown, #proprietary Flash ICs so one can neither obtain these nor reflash them without access to Apple's proprietary tools that not even #AASP|s can get their hands on legally.
