The closer you are to an enemy, the more damage you deal, but also the more you receive, so it's important to position yourself carefully! But if you know you've got a big attack ready for the next turn and your opponent does not, it might be a good time to use Velthur's Sicklerang ability to pull your enemy closer!
If there's a Hot Potato on your field, you better get rid of it fast! Sure, you can just throw it at your enemy, hurting them a bit and maybe setting them on fire, OR you can throw it onto their field to force their hand! Because if either of you end your turns with a hot potato on your fields... well, you'll see.
