Let's see if that computer will start up after two weeks of vacation...
I can now say that I am officially employed once again!
My offer letter arrived in my inbox a bit ago and it has been signed and submitted.
I will start on-boarding/orientation on Monday at 9am EST.
This is a bit lower salary than what I wanted, but it's at least something to bring in some money and not just us living off what we have in the bank.
I am super happy to announce that I have been offered a position at a company doing customer support related stuff like I've been doing for years.
I just have to pass the background check, which shouldn't be a problem, then orientation and on-boarding should start on September 9th, which is less than two weeks away.
It'll be nice to get back to work so soon after being laid off three weeks and two days ago.

Only 4 more days (inc. weekend) of summer holiday left, I'm taking an early dive into my inbox to try to reduce the #BackToWork anxiety.
Any guesses on how many emails I'll have accumulated in 2.5 weeks?

@LadyMont WOW, Generation Sicknote? Sounds like the work of Sleepy Joe & his pals across the pond, folks! They LOVE making excuses, turning strong young people into dependent, idle victims. It's a DISASTER! Mental health is important, but so is WORK & RESILIENCE. We need LEADERS who inspire greatness, not coddle & excuse. Under my watch, we had the BEST job numbers, the GREATEST economy. Time to ditch this culture of victimhood & get America (& Britain!) back to work. #BackToWork

We have the normal Monday, after a regular weekend, where it's like, "Didn't the weekend just start yesterday," Monday.
And then we have the Monday that happens after a long holiday weekend, and it's like, "who in the fuck put this here," Monday..

When my father in law reached that point, he would delete his inbox.
