Ted was not impressed when I suggested maybe he grow fingers and thumbs so he can pick up and carry his own poo. #dog #dogsOfMastodon #labrador #foxredlab
“…like Bruce Leroy, I got the glow, yeah”
My middle’s dog Ronin is giving some smolder-shoulder from the bean bag chair.
Today, I didn't even try to stay out in the yard. Heat index 100f/37.8c at 18:45. We are hiding inside on this #humpday, thanking our air-conditioner.

So hot! Made sure there was loads of this on Mwsog/Moss's walk today. #dogsofmastodon
Summer says her cow is in fine fettle this morning.
I'm glad the stitches held.
I woke up early and almost jumped up to take Summer for an early walk, but I was the only one awake. Instead I turned over and ended up sleeping two more hours.
I didn't see that coming.
I must have been tired.
Today, I am scheduled to go on a walk with my long time trainer. It is probably good that I saved some steps. Hopefully, she will offer some advice for getting my shoulder loosened up. Maybe it's time to hire her to help me get fit again. The last two years of caregiving have taken a toll.
Summer says today is going to be a good day. I hope she's right.
Good morning, Mastodon.

Yeah I know mate, I feel like that most mornings as well.
It's hot, no matter what. So today's photos are in pure summer colors. Stay cool where it's sizzling.
Summer's cow sprung a leak.
Just a small hole, on a seam, but a crises for Summer.
She gently brought the cow to me for repair and waited until it was fixed.
Whenever these things happen the concern on her face melts my heart.
So instead of cooking breakfast we fetched the mending kit.
I believe we kept our priorities in order.
Once the cow was whole again Summer relaxed and we could get on with our day.
Whew!
Good morning, Mastodon.

Afternoon run and swim
Started at Earlston and ran down the side of Leader Water, turning to cross near Redpath and back. A lovely run, good prepared track, lots of stiff climbs with steps in places. 11k in total, very warm, most of run in shade, Although the river is low at this time of the year there is a reliable 50m channel by the old bridge (wreckage in one photo) for a delicious swim.
54 to go
The day heated up earlier than expected, but thankfully we had shade and a little breeze to help us enjoy our hike.
