I've mentioned it before but... My contacts still prefer #WhatsApp over #Signal. And I'd rather use Signal only. What should I do? Perhaps the best solution is to get rid of WhatsApp and force people to contact me on Signal or, if they refuse to install the app, via text messages. What would you do? #askmastodon #askfediverse

Maybe make your Whatsapp profile pic an image that says "Rarely online. Contact me on Signal" or smth like that and log out of Whatsapp for extended periods of time?
@michal If they are worthy friends I would put WhatsApp into Shelter/Sandbox/Second‑hand‑phone‑for‑proprietary‑stuff in an isolated network and check it periodically.
