NAAN's fandom korner

This was done last year for Macross II's May 21st anniversary. For three years, I had been working on a costume catalog for Ishtar, if she were to be in (the now defunct game) Uta Macross! :D

I am thinking of experimenting with Pixiv Factory and/or Mixam's new POD service for a print version, for which I hope to finish some costumes and a new illust...!

Cover with a yellowish tint over it. There's text at the top: "Sonatina for Ishtar: an utamacross lookbook." The illustrations features a young woman awash in light, her blue hair slowly disappearing into the ether. What appears to be her clothes are being ripped apart. Despite this, she seems at peace with her eyes closed.
This is a biography page of the character Ishtar. Her name is the headline as well as on the picture preceding the paragraph. Said picture has her smiling in a cut-off pose, with her signature on top. The signature has a little smiling heart in the corner. The paragraph reads as follows: "Singing operatic songs of destruction and chaos, Ishtar comes to us as an Emulator from the Marduk race. After an encounter with the journalist Hibiki Kanzaki however, she begins to learn about culture on Earth. Gradually, songs of love and peace reach her ears, and open her mind to the possibility of her fellow Marduk to come to terms with their history and to learn to fall in love with life. Parallel to this journey, Ishtar holds a belief that the legendary ship, the SDF-1 Macross, is the equally legendary "Ship of Alus." a Marduk prophesy whose mission is to bring her people a life of peace. Last known coordinates: heading out into space with the commander Feff, willing to help the Marduk in creating their own culture..."

"I couldn’t help but do a color variant for this one too! It seemed obvious to me for this outfit. I based this one on Mylene’s FLAME SPARKLE outfit found in the game, to keep the connection going." "EVENT: Macross II x Macross 7 mission event. Ishtar helps by temporarily joining Fire Bomber?! (Mylene, Veffidas and Ishtar get to hang out, is my excuse.)"
