S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 SPOILERS AHEAD
One of the most fun parts of working on SIRCAA was tearing it apart after we've made it so clean and polished. Altho it was only a brief moment, our team made a lot of effort to make it memorable and impactful for players.

X-11 lab is a pretty significant story location in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, and it was a lot of fun working on lighting here. SIRCAA has extended on top of it, mixing the old legacy and a new generation of Zone's research initiatives. I also provided technical support and feedback for a cutscene that takes place inside the lab.

As a big fan of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy, I'm glad that I had a chance to work on lighting for the hub in DK Energetyk. It's a small, but important location that players visit near the end of the game. Be aware that local stalkers might not trust a stranger like you, Pripyat is a dangerous place after all.

When doing lighting for a Prototype Room in SIRCAA, my goal was to convey something disturbingly alien even compared to other parts of the main building. Perfectly clean and organized, and yet devoid of life and emotions - players had to constantly feel that something is seriously wrong with this place, before its real purpose was revealed after the cutscene.

Before proceeding with SIRCAA, I wanted to share some of my lighting at Swamps in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. It's one of the most desolate areas in our game, so I did most of the work at stalkers camp in Horodyshche village, and an abandoned Clear Sky base.

ARL dungeons features some of the most fun lighting scenarios I did in #stalker2 One is a labyrinth of concrete columns, and the other is a hallway where you encounter Bayun. Although hidden in the dark, you can still spot his glowing eyes before he attacks!

ARL building is an old part of SIRCAA institute. Our goal was to make this place feel inhabited compared to similar abandoned facilities in the game. I'm biased, but I think this place looks the best at night time.

Had to learn a few things about lighting design for park and recreation areas for this location. I would have never thought that I'll need such a knowledge when working on a game like S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but it was a fun experience!

Penthouse was supposed to be a peak of the SIRCAA region in every sense. To give players a lasting impression about this place, we were trying to achieve here a drastically different vibe compared to the rest of the game. When creating lighting in this location, Blade Runner was my primary source of inspiration.
