As an Elder Scrolls player, I'm rather delighted to see the shoutout to Morrowind in this post--and reminded that I really ought to consider waking up my stalled Morrowind playthrough, or else just go ahead and bail on it, and fire up OpenMW instead!

Excited to share a tutorial run through of Caves of Qud for the upcoming 1.0 release with one of the best streamers of the game @BigSimple
For the series, we are running through the tutorial and the first few quests, unpacking the wild uniqueness of an enormously influential traditional roguelike (morrowind-like?).
Excited to finally learn the game properly!

This is amazing. I cannot believe it is real, but have to think it contains Ash Yam. (Image shamelessly stolen from @jenn on Bsky.) #Morrowind #ElderScrolls #DickPills
@gamingonlinux Because of Tamriel Rebuilt, #TES3 #Morrowind is a constant again. For shorter bursts, Notch's Lego is always fun - some refer to it as Microsoft's #Minecraft.
Today’s video is more Dread Delusion. An old school RPG that I often compared to The Elder scrolls Morrowind.
NOW GO WATCH IT!!! (links below)

This weeks video is for a game called Dread Delusion which is basically the Elder Scrolls Morrowind if it were an indie game. NOW GO WATCH IT!!! (Links below)

My overall impressions of the new OLED Steam Deck I've acquired (picoreview: overall splendid, especially improved Bluetooth). Reinstating all my previous games was easier than expected! This post goes into detail on how I reinstalled everything, and has my general impressions of the device as well.

Progress on the new Steam Deck!
1. Skyrim is now up and running, with Anniversary Edition content installed
2. All my mods from my two current major modded playthroughs are in place and active in Vortex
3. Helper scripts I'd used before to get Vortex onto the thing, and to cleanly swap back and forth between playthroughs, re-installed
4. Custom controller configs I'd set before confirmed to be back in place
5. Morrowind ALSO installed, and its previous save files confirmed access on the cloud; no mods on my Morrowind run, so that's all I need there
Tomorrow I install Oblivion, the small set of mods I was using on it, and also Fallout 3! Stay tuned!
After the success with the #Fallout #TV series, do you think we will eventually see an #ElderScrolls one? Would you like one, assuming it was done at least competently?
I would, while I'm no expert on the ES (but think #Morrowind was the best game, and the only one I actually finished) I think it could be fun.
Got Vortex up and running via Lutris on the Bazzite install I did on Potato. So this let me do a few basic mods, mostly the same set of ones I'd used on my first attempt at a modded playthrough on this box, plus a couple more that I discovered later.
Result: I got Skyrim running, but yeaaaaah the performance is _not good_.We're talking 9-15 FPS just wandering around in Whiterun and then outside in the surrounding plains. So NOT an improvement over running Skyrim in Windows 10 on the same box.
What I've learned from this though is that yes I can do a Vortex install on it, and I may get better results from Morrowind and Oblivion. _Maybe_ Fallout 3. We'll see!
at first, I wasn't into this... it was just a bunch of quixel assets and was a bit generic... but it's actually starting to feel like Morrowind... and they said they plan to relight it too.
