My husband and I were bingeing Flower of Evil tonight but had to go to bed before the last episode. I would have stayed up to watch it but I know work will be very demanding tomorrow and it’s already an hour past my bedtime so we will have to finish it tomorrow. This drama is SO good!!

OK #kdrama folks - are there any dramas that I should watch on Prime real quick before I cancel it?
'The Match' film director will retain actor Yoo Ah In's scenes in the #Korean movie about two master Baduk/Go players despite Yoo’s drug arrest.
It will lose its Netflix streaming option but will show in cinemas - “Where it belongs!” #kdrama

That's cool! I kept wondering how they did that.
I am so disappointed by its rating on MDL - only a 6.6. IMHO, it was so good. I mean hilarious & crazy (mice & fruit flies), but even those bits tied beautifully into the theme, with such deep messages. There's a lot more to it than it seems.
@RomanticIsa Yeah, the science certainly wasn't sciencing. I was intrigued, however, by how they simulated the zero gravity for filming. I found this clip of them using giant arms, wires, and green screened out people to manage all this. It looks like so much fun, but I am sure got exhausting at times. (This is a short behind the scenes clip with no spoilers)
My sister and I are watching When The Stars Gossip together and I’m really liking it despite the blatant disregard for any science. We have made it a rule that we can’t point out anymore the things that don’t make any sense, because every episode we said “that would so not be possible,” with lengthy explanations as to why not . Now we’re just turning our brains off and enjoying the ride.

I liked soundtracks before I got hooked on #kdrama , but some of the Korean soundtracks are top notch. Everytime music from #behindyourtouch appears on my playlist I desperately want to do a rewatch (have watched 4 times already). Other soundtracks have similar effect.,

The lengths a #KDrama fan will go to: Trying to find an actor from #DNALove not listed at MDL (the Drama is not on Dramawiki) . download all the subs to search for her character's name, then screenshot the cat list. Laboriously type in the names unacconuted for, then think "what about AsianWiki?" THEY had her listed. She's SECOND-TO-LAST in this cast list, of course.
FFing through #KDrama #DNAlover to find out how one of the support pairings turns out, I'm being reminded that I have a really weird, narrow fetishist niche when it comes to #KDrama, one that is almost impossible to find examples of from this decade.
It's apparently freaky kink I should be ashamed of, but for some weird reason., I can't help myself. I just like my romcoms
to be sans serial killers
Speaking of drama actor quests....
"Melo Movie" is a great drama for me to accomplish multiple quests.
From the "Melo Movie" cast I'm currently on quests for:
-- Choi Woo Shik (Parasite fame, friend of Park Hyung Sik)
-- Park Bo Young (Strong Woman & so many more, co-star of Park Hyung Sik)
-- Lee Jun Young (It seems like he's getting more serious working with well-knows actors in this & his next project)
-- Kim Jae Wook ("Her Private Life" & "Crazy Love" so far)
********
I think I may add these actors to my quests
-- Jeon So Nee (starred opposite Park Hyung Sik in "Our Blooming Youth")
-- Cha Woo Min (This is the 1st I've seen him, but he'll be in "Buried Hearts" later this month with Park Hyung Sik)
PS: Park Hyung Sik was one of my early quests.

16-Feb : An actor that inspired a quest (watching other works)?
I started quests with my very 1st kDrama, so I have many ongoing.
The most successful quest that started in 2024 is Lee Seung Gi. I first saw him in "A Korean Odyssey," then went on to "Vagabond," "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho," and "King 2 Hearts."
I wasn't crazy about Gumiho, but he was great in the rest.
Not only is he a great actor, but he sings (he's done some of his dramas' OST songs), he's a philanthropist & he has led efforts to make the South Korean entertainment industry better and safer for actors & idols.
@whoosh True, but one thing that does is keep the stakes high. With western dramas the stakes are often very low- they rarely kill off characters because there needs to be a Season 2,3,4,5,6. Dramatic scenes lack tension. With #kdrama I get that nervous feeling every single time I see a white truck barreling down the road, because a #kdrama will kill off characters all the time- so will this time just be a miss, a slight injury, or a death. And it's the uncertainty that keeps it interesting.
Nothing like either being frustrated with the current state of affairs in the drama(s) you are watching or you are waiting for the next episodes, so you decide to watch something else.
You get 1/2 way through and it looks like someone is going to die/be injured in a car accident, so you pause that & start another & at the end of eps. 1, there is another car accident!!
So, right now, no matter which (of the half dozen) drama(s) I go back to, someone is going to die or be injured!
