Maybe you would like to try #TempleOS, a very innovative operating system that was explicitly designed as a playful learning platform from a recently passed #hacker named #TerryADavis.
It's deeply inspired by #Commodore64 (in particular the UI), and it's completely written from scratch in #HolyC, a #C like language that is... somewhat unique.
Crazy idea (that I will probably attemp but without enough time so it won't become a thing): port #HolyC to #Jehanne.
I don't really know if I like it as a language (never tried #TempleOS but I will, sooner or later), but I think Terry Davis has been a great #hacker, that devoted his own life to pursuit his #Curiosity.
People shouldn't be sympathetic with him because he was #schizophrenic, as if TempleOS was a dumb kid toy but it's nice because "hey poor guy!"
We need more #hackers like him.
