@marcan And whilst one can argue that RAM & SoC won't wear out to the point they need replacing, #SSDs will INEVITABLY FAIL OVER USE AND TIME!

Removing the ability to boot from an external drive if the internal one is broken is just #PlannedObsolescence & #AntiRepairDesign to prevent people from #UseLonger and #Repair as well as #Refurbishing #Apple's devices.
The "#Security" Argument is complete #FUD since by the point the SSD is so dead, no data can be recovered from it without a lab anyway.
