Talk about ambient -- The Crozet Tunnel is a remarkable testament to tradition and reverence for history. The Magic Tuber Stringband and Weirs set up shop in the abandoned Crozet railway tunnel and recorded a series of trad songs. It's something you need to behold.

Deleted the fb page of the student folk festival I founded way back when (since ended). We'd kept the page open for posterity, but as Meta openly conflicts with the values that were in our constitution we can't really keep it up. I hope one day to get all my documents from it to an archive, but it'll have to wait until post-PhD.

Always like stopping at Hamish Henderson's childhood home in Glenshee, which backs right onto the kirkyard.

Henderson was a major organiser of the Scottish Folk Revival in the 1950s-70s. Some of his interest in folk culture came from his upbringing here and around Blairgowrie, where he heard his mother and their neighbours singing traditional songs.

A few months ago someone on Wikipedia suggested merging the (very sparse) Sandy Bell's page with Hamish Henderson's - which I thought was a terrible idea since Henderson was neither A Pub or The Revival.

Onyway, I finally got round to adding a few edits to expand the Bell's page but it's still in need of much overhaul if anybody's a Bells enthusiast.

Users can identify collection holders, find information on their catalogues, get in touch with them, and compare collections from different organisations.
