Here are a couple of my partial solar eclipse shots, taken with a fair amount of cloud cover. I’m pretty happy with the results, considering that I only used a relatively cheap Baader solar filter on my telescope and the weather conditions. The equipment I used is in the alt text.

Art Advent Calendar - Day 6

I'm a bit late today and originally wanted to post something else. But it's kinda related. We watched the moon and planets today through a big telescope. The appearance of the moon with the colorful clouds reminded me of this picture here that I took recently during a partial solar eclipse.

This is the current state of the #SolarEclipse from here. It will only be #partial and maximum coverage will be in about fifteen minutes’ time. The clouds actually helped to filter out some of the sunlight.
