Selenium<p>Two weeks to <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Selenium" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Selenium</span></a> Open Space Conference and we have set up our tooling: <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Welo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Welo</span></a> for video, voice and sense of virtual rooms that despite appearance each fit 150 people, and <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Miro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Miro</span></a> for co-creating the agenda. Hat tip to <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/FroGSConf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FroGSConf</span></a> for showing us how events like this can be just as great as meeting f2f, and accessible for a community that is global.</p>

What I do love from #pairing is that the lag between you evolve your mental model about the problem at hand, and you are able to communicate that to another team member is the shortest one.

I can learn new stuff from the domain within minutes with a fast feedback loop as you gain when doing #TDD for example.

But the important aspect is about how much time lapses between that little learning you had and the whole team is up to date to the enhanced model.

That's why pairing + TDD is a super powerful combination of methodologies. Nowadays, if you combine with remote collaboration tools as #Miro, you are able to capture those learnings in a shared board that other colleagues can check in a regular basis.

A late #introduction!—hi, I’m Jens 👋

I specialize in #HTML and #CSS minimization and optimization

For the last years I’ve focused on engineering management (which I’m now doing for #Miro, whom I’ve just joined)

I write about my work—including books, for O’Reilly and for my indie outlet, @frontenddogma—, so if frontend development and engineering management interest you, connect with me here
