#ereader
Anyone have an eink writing device? I'm looking into them. Portability is important to me for notes, so the 10s seem large. But the only smaller device that seems highly recommended is the Nomad. Is that my best option?
Maybe a long shot, but has anyone gotten KOReader and Nickelmenu running on a converted Tolino to Kobo ereader? Originally branded as a Tolino Shine Color and currently running as a Kobo Clara Colour. Usually it's straightforward on native Kobo (Linux) and works after some jumping through hoops on older Tolinos (Android) but this one has me stuck. It's pretty much Kobo, but not all? I have already visited GitHub, Mobileread and e-reader-forum (de).
I managed to mess up my #Kobo Sage somehow, so I had to do a factory reset of the #ereader. I reinstalled #KOReader (and also Plato, which I couldn't get to work last time), but now I'm going to have to spend a couple of hours reconfiguring it to the way I like. I'll backup the software folders this time.
Fortunately I backed up my books, so they're fine. But this does mean I've lost the stats koReader kept, and I'm going to have to reconstruct the first week of this month's calendar by fiddling with date settings to get what I read to show up on the days I read them. The titles should work, but the daily histogram is lost.
I was looking for ideas for creating a #travel case for my #ereader, and someone suggested looking up "box joint generator" for plywood, and indeed looks like https://boxes.hackerspace-bamberg.de/SlidingLidBox?language=en (probably with the lip for lid) might be exactly what I'm looking for! So now to figure out where to get plywood for it and how to work the #lasercutter at the #hackerspace
