Shortly after he was elected leader of Conservative Party, #Poilievre and his wife moved into Stornoway mansion, the taxpayer-funded official residence of the leader of the Opposition.

But according to the Official Residences Act, Stornoway is reserved for the “Leader of the Opposition in the House of Commons”. Since Poilievre lost his seat, he is no longer recognized as the official leader of the opposition.

This is concerning and speaks to the success of Conservative propaganda; anyone believing Conservatives would to anything to address affordability and the cost of living doesn’t really know anything about Conservatives and clearly isn’t getting their information from a reliable source.

I can’t see any self-respecting Conservative, who actually won their seat in their riding, willfully stepping aside to allow #Poilievre to run in a by-election and potentially lose.

Some things we can be thankful for in our Canadian system: a short election campaign, an agreement on the fairness of voting, no major lies or riots, and acceptance of the vote.

It’s good to see democracy working as it should.

No, the Liberals did not get a ‘mandate’ you clowns. They narrowly averted disaster because enough of the voters on the left lent them their votes.
