The Infosys founder held prime minister Narendra Modi and his cabinet up as an example of proper workaholics, claiming the PM toils for 100hrs a week, and suggested not following suit demonstrates a lack of appreciation.
“Frankly I was a little bit disappointed in 1986 when we moved from a six-day week to a five-day week,” he added.

Good morning, friends.

It's Friday and I know it's 5 PM somewhere so enjoy.

Yesterday, I had lunch with some of my former coworkers. Hmmm ... I started to use the work "old" instead of "former," but some of them are indeed not old. Okay, my train is trying to jump the track. Oops, there it goes.

I used to look forward to weekends, sometimes. My old job would often require me to work up to 20 days without a weekend break. During those times I would joke that "Thank God it's Friday. I did this with a smile because other than the weird hours, it was a pretty good job. When actual "take a break," weekends came they were usually pretty long, sometimes several days. I have to say, the anticipation of a weekend was usually much more exciting than the actual weekend.

Me: Um, what is this?

5-year-old: A donut trap!

Me: How does that work?

8-year-old: If we catch Daddy in, we'll make a deal that we'll let him go, but only if he gives us donuts for breakfast whenever we want.

5-year-old: Yeah! It's genius!

Spouse: Okay, now that we're finished painting, nobody touch this wall for a couple hours.

8-year-old: [to 5-year-old] You got that?

5-year-old: Mmm... No. I don't.

Normally I try everything possible to avoid working on #weekends but this weekend I have several urgent things to take care of. The first one is a presentation for a colleague at #COP27 onj #IceSheets + #SeaLevelRise, anyone want to see a sneak preview when it's done?
