I've made some useful updates to my #freebsd #sandbox script. It now uses #jails for isolation. In addition, you can customize the sandbox easily to do things like remove network access or mount directories into the sandbox as read-write or read-only. I plan on using this to easily host services on FreeBSD the same way I currently do on Linux, by running them in sandboxes under #tmux, which easier and more efficient than using #containers.

It's approaching 17 years ago this month that I switched to #tmux.. and 17 years since I submitted my first #OpenBSD port.

Nicholas Marriott (nicm@)'s first #OpenBSD commit would happen a year later.
nicm@ modified src/usr.bin/tmux/*: Import tmux, a terminal multiplexor allowing (among other things) a single terminal to be switched between several different windows and programs displayed on one terminal be detached from one terminal and moved to another.

If anyone’s curious how to use #Blink.sh on iOS to send commands to #Tmux or #Emacs - it’s actually super convenient. On the keyboard, you tap the ^ symbol from the top bar to lock the Ctrl key, then just hit whatever key you need to complete the shortcut, like C-A. For example, detaching from Tmux is „C-A d” for me - and I can type that on my phone just as fast as on a regular keyboard.
I have to _blame_ @willmcgugan for rediscovering the power of the
His amazing work with #Rich and #Textual for got me to realize how much has happened since GUI and mouse took over the world.
This year it all begins to come together to form a good base with #ArchLinux #Ghostty
#Tmux and #Neovim
to really get going with.
We'll be covering tmux on today's episode of Into the Terminal. Some features we've found helpful, and even how to make tmux launch and connect to your session every time you connect to a machine! Check it out in about 30 minutes!

Olen käyttänyt tmuxia paljon ja vuosia, mutta en ole koskaan edes ajatellut että tätä voisi tuunata vaikka miten. Pitäisiköhän vihdoin hypätä tähänkin kaninkoloon.

@LinuxToday I honestly did not know #tmux had “themes”. Wild.
I think I've finally graduated from #linux college.
I've got an old Sony Vaio with 2gb ram and a piss-poor CPU. I tried everything on it. #openbsd, #alpineliux, #tinycore, #antixlinux.. but at the end of the day, it's just slow. So I settled on Alpine with no graphical session. I've been living in the TTY for about 2 weeks now and I gotta say.. who needs a GUI?
With #tmux as my window(pane) manager, I'm able to do everything I need it to.
I think I'm closing in on some better #CLI tools.
#kitty - terminal emulator
#tmux - terminal multiplexer
#tmuxp - preconfigured tmux sessions
#mosh - ssh that reconnects if you switch networks
#newsboat - RSS feeds
#offpunk - gemini/gopher browser
#links2 - CLI web browser
#timg - CLI image viewer
#tailscale - for LAN access
Anyone else have some cool terminal apps they love?

Y eso que he visto un juguete con el que perder el tiempo este fin de semana fantástico #tmux

Lo uso como excusa para acomodarme el entorno de cara a las prácticas de Ciencia de datos, pero realmente tengo que ponerme con ellas YA .
using Tmux as my main terminal multiplexer instead of Zellij.
Why? It does not support kittys terminal graphics protocol yet.
#tmux vs #zellij

Ok, came around and installed #fish on my main VMs/containers and themed those shells to fit the color of the services like blue for #nextcloud. Now I have to take a look at theming #tmux since I'm spending most of my time there.
Today's #Linux #CLI tool: mocp
This text based music player is easy to use. I've used it by SSH'ing into a #RaspberyPi with a speaker plugged into the audio port. If you are running your laptop in console mode, this beauty will play your tunes nicely in another window in #tmux
On #Debian this is part of the "moc" package.
