Mark Squires<p>Classic Vinsanto--mostly Assyrtiko, a dollop of Aidani, from very old vines (60+). Sun dried grapes. This adds 300 g/l of sugar. Yet, it doesn't seem that sweet. There is power here and fine acidity, too, even as rich as it is. With some age, it's gone fully dark in color, but it also isn't decayed at all, just concentrated and caramelized. Absolutely delicious. Six years in barrel before release. Around $40 then for a 500ml. Just 11% alc. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/wine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>wine</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/vinsanto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vinsanto</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/greece" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>greece</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/santorini" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>santorini</span></a></p>
