clacke: exhausted pixie dream boy 🇸🇪🇭🇰💙💛
Things they also like that I already watched:

- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundati…
- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/For_All_…
- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raised_b…

Foundation: Asimov's seminal galactic empire epic about societies and how they rise and fall. It goes very slow in the beginning, basically all of S1, but I like it very much. It is a very free adaptation from the books, which some people hate, but I like everything they added, there is creative and interesting new stuff in there. Asimov is great at world-building, not so much at dialogue and characters. This one has great characters, sometimes by merging several from Asimov's huge gallery. It also has more than 5% women and they are allowed pivotal roles.

For All Mankind: Alt history drama, what if Soviets got to the moon first and the space race continued with both sides establishing bases? I enjoy this one, actors are excellent, story is believable, there is little to no space fantasy, it's all within achievable technology. It's a bit slow-going and I took a break for more exciting superhero and space fantasy adventure series for a while. Expanse fans are lyrical over the latest season and I will get back to it once I catch up with Doom Patrol and in particular the Doom Patrol musical episode. 😃

Raised by Wolves: Very promising seemingly-hard scifi about settling a harsh biotope on Kepler 22b. The settlers are two androids and a bunch of embryos that escaped zealot persecution of atheists and a global civil war with a sun cult with Christian associations. As it progressed it got more and more deeply into prophecies and fantasy and I got more and more tired of it, but I finished S2. Unclear if there will be another season. The evolving backstory of what happened on Earth kept me going more than the present-time story, which got more and more surreal. The characters and personal relations are great, including the exploration of android personalities.

#Foundation #FoundationSeries
#ForAllMankind
#RaisedByWolves
