Paul Garrard<p>Is identity important?<br>I don’t think it is. Personally I think it’s a bit vain to want an identity. Needy. Clearly one needs to be identified for legal reasons, in terms of employment, government interactions and property etc. etc.but do you need to be identified in any other way? I’ve been watching Grayson Perry’s ‘The Full English’ and whilst I like Grayson I think national identity is bollocks. we don’t need tribes. Citizenship laws vary widely across Europe.</p><p>Dual or multiple citizenship is already part of everyday life in many European countries.
