nantucketlit<p>Anybody <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/jsonfeed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>jsonfeed</span></a> enthusiasts here? What reader do you use to read your feeds?</p>
nantucketlit<p>New blog post: I write my blogs in my Shanty markup language, and then parse the plain-text into separate blog pages. It's all done with <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/FOSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FOSS</span></a> software. It's <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/SmallWeb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SmallWeb</span></a> and very accessible. <a href="https://nantucketebooks.com/blog/2025/02/2025-02-25_a_new_blog_platform_in_development.html" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">nantucketebooks.com/blog/2025/</span><span class="invisible">02/2025-02-25_a_new_blog_platform_in_development.html</span></a> </p><p>I am ready to open this up to other people and start a blogging platform for whomever is interested. <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Syndication" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Syndication</span></a> via <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/RSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RSS</span></a>, <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Atom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Atom</span></a>, *and* <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/jsonfeed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>jsonfeed</span></a>. </p><p>If this sound like what you've been looking for, email me at njb@nantucketebooks.com</p>

Nicolas Hoizey<p>🖋 “Let's POSSE to Mastodon with a JSON Feed and a GitHub Action”</p><p>After building a Node script for my own POSSE needs, I thought it would be good if other people could also use it. I knew not many people would be able to use the script as-is, so I built a GitHub Action that is much simpler to use, without losing any feature, even gaining some!</p><p>📅 7 January 2023</p><p><a href="https://mamot.fr/tags/IndieWeb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>IndieWeb</span></a> <a href="https://mamot.fr/tags/POSSE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>POSSE</span></a> <a href="https://mamot.fr/tags/Mastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mastodon</span></a> <a href="https://mamot.fr/tags/JSONFeed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>JSONFeed</span></a> <a href="https://mamot.fr/tags/GitHub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GitHub</span></a> </p><p>⚓️ <a href="https://nicolas-hoizey.com/articles/2023/01/07/let-s-posse-to-mastodon-with-a-json-feed-and-a-github-action/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">nicolas-hoizey.com/articles/20</span><span class="invisible">23/01/07/let-s-posse-to-mastodon-with-a-json-feed-and-a-github-action/</span></a></p>

As in 1.0 has it - 2.0 doesn't - and there won't be a lot of releases between 1.0 and 2.0.</p><p>RSS is the oldest of the 3 and I can't find any organization that's taken ownership of it for further development. Atom is at still part of the w3c. And JSON Feed is just starting.</p>
