comp.os.linux.misc has been overrun with spam. At least as it is viewed on the web via Google Groups.
It had one of the best crowds for solving Linux issues.
Does anyone know if that crowed migrated somewhere else?

Google have been having massive spam problems with Google Groups spam, and it seems Google have decided to fix the spam problem by discontinuing the existing Google Groups usenet peering.
The comp.os.vms newsgroup and other groups have been largely or entirely unusable via Google Groups (<https://groups.google.com/g/comp.os.vms>) for a while now, and the folks administering usenet servers have been dealing with a flood of spam posted from Google Groups.
How long the historical usenet data—what was once the Dejanews usenet archives—will remain available at Google is unclear. I'd hope Internet Archive can get a copy, if Google decides to discontinue that archive.
Yes, usenet still exists, is still in use, and the archives of various newsgroups are still useful.

It seems that Infinite Campus and Google are trying to address some the issues these hacks and media coverage have raised. But how many more districts will become victims before these issues are really addressed?
Say what you want, and I am with you, but #Google are #SEO professionals. If anyone can do search in the #fediverse, it is them.
Also, #GoogleGroups just died, they need a replacement that they can't kill a few months later or have it die on them
Epilogue: In 2001 #Google bought the #DejaNews #Usenet archive and folded it into #GoogleGroups, but less than a decade later Groups was alternating between usability-destroying tweaks and utter neglect. People still use Groups, but IMHO Deja News should have a gravestone on @codyogden ’s https://killedbygoogle.com
