TIL that the earliest #CasioF91W had an incandescent bulb and worked relatively well with its light spreader. They switched to LED later on for power saving but never updated the light spreader, which was designed for that incandescent.

This is actually why the lighting is now so terrible. Interestingly the A700 has a similar single LED (albeit in orange) but since it has an appropriate light spreader, that's why it looks good. This is also why the module 593 light spreader mod works so well.

Today's #WristCheck, it was a #Casio F-108WH kinda day. This watch deserves more love, especially because of its G-Shock kinda look while being almost as cheap as the #CasioF91W
