SaustrupVi bor i en <a href="https://mstdn.dk/tags/forstad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#forstad</a> nord for <a href="https://mstdn.dk/tags/Aarhus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Aarhus</a>, komplet med plankeværk, græsplæne, bøgehæk og rackskab i kælderen. Her for en uges tid siden skulle vi så afsted på ferie i en uges tid, og for én gangs skyld med afgang på et rimeligt tidspunkt på dagen, og ikke før fanden får sko på. Ikke desto mindre var vi oppe klokken 5, da vores høns larmede helt vildt. Da konen stak hovedet ud af vinduet, kunne hun se en fuldvoksen ræv spadsere ud af hønsehuset med en livløs høne i gabet.Ræven opgav hønen, og tog flugten over den meterhøje låge der holder hundene i baghaven.Vi havde glemt at lukke den lille dør til indhegningen. Den er bare 20x15 cm. Det kostede så lige to <a href="https://mstdn.dk/tags/h%C3%B8ns" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#høns</a> :-(

CiaraNone of the sunsets or flowers I saw this week was as lovely as these ugly patches of tarmac. This is the old Aarhus County Hospital. The council is developing it into a mixed-use neighbourhood. While excavating, they discovered that 2 huge emergency generators in bomb-shelter operation rooms still work perfectly. So they dug them up, threw tarmac in the hole and donated them to Ukraine. To show support for the RAF and the Allied forces during the occupation of Denmark, young people started wearing red-white-and-blue hats and clothes. CiaraVielsessalen. The Wedding Room. Artist Albert Naur decorated the registry office at Aarhus Rådhus (city hall) in 1941. He painted three walls with Spring, Summer and Autumn wildflowers. After liberation in 1945, he added a single bouquet of garden flowers in the colours of the British Royal Air Force. (RAF pilots bombed Gestapo HQ in Aarhus during the Nazi occupation.) I only learnt that this week, in these new fascist times. I thought: how moving.
