fraggle<p>Before malware, ransomware, and state-sponsored cyberattacks, there was the Creeper virus. Created in 1971 by Bob Thomas, Creeper wasn’t designed to cause harm. Instead, it hopped between computers on ARPANET, displaying the message: "I’m the creeper, catch me if you can!" It was more of an experiment than a threat, but it led to the creation of Reaper, the first antivirus software, which sought out and removed Creeper.
