Weekend goal: a #Lua chunk (script) to help sighted users review #Braille. It's a great way to understand how visually impaired users interact with a computer using a screen reader and a Braille display. The script is simple and easy to configure. Currently, it offers a learning mode; in the future, a challenge mode will be added, along with a blog post explaining how to set it up.

On #FreeBSD it should be executable via flua:
% flua learnbraille.lua
after installing liblouis:
# pkg install liblouis
[edit] % /usr/libexec/flua learnbraille.lua
Bulgarians pay tribute to Cyrillic script forefathers on St Cyril and Methodius Day.
Hundreds of people gathered in the Bulgarian capital on Saturday to lay flowers at the base of the statue of Orthodox Church saints St Cyril and Methodius in central Sofia.
St Cyril and Methodius were the creators of the Glagolitic script, which later evolved into the Cyrillic alphabet.
Have you ever restored a SQL Server bacpac file and wished that indices were disabled for a faster restore?
I have a script that does exactly this: https://www.planetgeek.ch/2025/05/14/disabling-indices-in-a-bacpac-file-sql-server/
I was just thinking, how do #Youtuber #upload their #videos to #YouTube right now? Are their any open source #YT #uploaders? If so, how do we get #Peertube support in them to allow people to do an upload once and it go to multiple places? That way we lower the bar to entry of Peertube, while having a direct onboarding and exposure to the #Fediverse.

Currently listening to "ZauberwalD.mod" by slash/atd/rpsg from the revision Demoscene party 2025 and had the compulsion on working on/optimizing my Amiga music file (mod, ahx, prt, tfmx fc14... etc) -> UADE -> FLAC -> NAS shell script...
Not really happy with kdialog/dbus interface on FreeBSD, maybe I should look into other script UI dialogs. Anything other than yad or zenity , which could be used instead? Need a yes/no box and a progressbar. Any hint into the right direction more than welcome.

A lot of hurdles to take. But a ton of learning and fun! And still creeping further with hajime, my Arch Linux installer.
Currently working on issues with package lists and configuration file.
Check out the scripts on codeberg.
Have fun and a nice day!
