derSammler<p>Between 2002 and 2004, <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Ubisoft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ubisoft</span></a> had a service in the UK called <strong>uPlay Mobile</strong> (yes, uPlay - a name they would later recycle). Over this service, you could buy &amp; download mobile games for your phone. There were even "physical" copies you could buy in stores, but these were just empty boxes with a download code.</p><p>That service is long gone and so is access to the games. People sometimes offer the empty game boxes on eBay for crazy prices claiming they are for the <strong>Nokia N-Gage</strong> - but they are not. They are Java MIDlets, so not even native <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/S60" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>S60</span></a> apps. They run of course on the N-Gage, too.</p><p>Anyway, before this is getting too long: while doing research on something else, I was able to get in touch with a person who was involved in this. And he had a nice archive of many of the uPlay Mobile games that he backed up back in the day. Not all of the 20+ games, but a good part of it.
