sohkamyung<p>Back from a brief holiday in Malaysia. Haven't organised the few nature shots I took during the trip, so here is a shot from a food street in Sungei Siput and a riverside view from Kuala Sepetang. Both in Perak, Malaysia.</p><p><a href="https://photog.social/tags/Malaysia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Malaysia</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Perak" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Perak</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/SungeiSiput" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SungeiSiput</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/KualaSepetang" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>KualaSepetang</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Food" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Food</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Scenery" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Scenery</span></a></p>

sohkamyung<p>A Brahminy Kite (Haliastur indus) spotted at Kuala Sepetang, Perak, Malaysia, on 28 March 2024. The first two shots show it after it caught a fish from the river, which was IDed as a Spotted Scat (Scatophagus argus).</p><p>The Brahminy Kite is a common bird that feeds on fish and is also a scavenger.</p><p>On iNaturalist [ <a href="https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/205199575" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">inaturalist.org/observations/2</span><span class="invisible">05199575</span></a> ]</p><p><a href="https://photog.social/tags/iNaturalist" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>iNaturalist</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Nature" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Nature</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Malaysia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Malaysia</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Perak" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Perak</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/KualaSepetang" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>KualaSepetang</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Birds" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Birds</span></a> <a href="https://photog.social/tags/Aves" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Aves</span></a></p>

Soh Kam Yung<p>Perak state, Malaysia, is to launch a state-wide parking app as an alternative to using paper coupons to pay for parking.</p><p>Personally interested in this as I make family visits to Perak. Now I don't have to buy district-only parking coupons but pay parking charges from one app in various districts while travelling.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.io/tags/malaysia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Malaysia</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.io/tags/perak" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Perak</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.io/tags/parking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Parking</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.io/tags/apps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Apps</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.io/tags/transport" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Transport</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://park.perak.my/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">park.perak.my/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
