Peter "Poly" PatersonWednesday 08:55 One of my favourite Telegram chat bots named Rose often responds with "First we have the coffee, then we do the things." when <a href="https://polymaths.social/tags/coffee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Coffee</a> is mentioned. Well, today I have been doing things backwards. I have been up for about 2 hours doing lots of things, and only now finished my coffee. This Toot / Post is normally done first, but not today. I shall be working on Saturday in my <a href="https://polymaths.social/tags/foodbank" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#FoodBank</a> office running the end of month snapshot and distribution reports, so balancing my time this week. I may be salary, but we are encouraged not to work over 40 hours. Technically I don't clock in and out, and pretty much set my own hours. As long as the work gets done! Talking of work, I have an friend visiting our facility today at 10:00, so as long as I make it in before then I am good. This is a local online contact that I shall be meeting in-person for the first time. He lives in Versailles, KY, and is a fellow Christian believer. This week has been SO hectic with the flood disaster relief. It actually feels good to slow down a bit. Due to workload I did not arrive home today until after 18:00, listened to Arianna, hopefully encouraged her, then made my supper. Watched most of an episode of Star Trek: Voyager in my current re-watch marathon, then went to bed for a good deep <a href="https://polymaths.social/tags/nap" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#nap</a>! <a href="https://polymaths.social/tags/startrekvoyager" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#StarTrekVoyager</a> Woke up, made <a href="https://polymaths.social/tags/coffee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Coffee</a>, watched the remainder of the episode, then got to work.
