Punktem wyjścia jest dla mnie następujący opis stanu obecnego: 1.1. Zarówno Hamas, jak i państwo Izrael, od lat dopuszczają się działań terrorystycznych i zbrodni wojennych. 1.2. Hamas utrzymuje się przy władzy dzięki eliminacji przez Izrael wszelkich innych (zwłaszcza pokojowych) dróg działania dla społeczeństwa palestyńskiego. Wewnętrzne poparcie dla niego wynika z beznadziei i przekonania, że nie ma szans na nic innego. 1.3. Państwo Izrael czerpie legitymizację z projektu kolonialno-osadniczego i jego kłamstw założycielskich: "ziemia bez ludzi dla ludzi bez ziemi" oraz "wszyscy Żydzi są ludem rdzennym Judei", utrzymując i wzmacniając apartheid etniczno-religjny. Poparcie dla niego wynika z wielopokoleniowego formowania ideologiczno-religijnego, ale niemniej jest niemal powszechne. 1.4. Znaczna część społeczeństwa palestyńskiego i znikoma część społeczeństwa są w sytuacji ofiar i zakładników obu walczących struktur władzy, którym nie mają jak się przeciwstawić. 2. W efekcie, w mojej ocenie, sprawstwo wykonawcze dzielą między sobą Hamas (wraz z sojusznikami) i państwo Izrael (wraz z dominującą częścią społeczeństwa), sprawstwo kierownicze przypada Izraelowi, a pomocnicze wszelkim interesariuszom owej sytuacji. 3. Wobec zasadniczej niezgody na równość dwóch narodów w jednym państwie, i niekorzystnej dynamiki demograficznej, Izrael ucieka się do strategii "ograniczonego" ludobójstwa, aby zapobiec "zalaniu" Palestyny przez palestyńską populację rdzenną, co pogorszyłoby sytuację polityczną. Z tego względu istnienie Hamasu i innych grup głoszących misję wytępienia żydów jest wygodne dla państwa Izrael jako straszak na obywateli i alibi dla ich własnej polityki "kontroli populacji" palestyńskiej. Wychodząc od tych stwierdzeń można I od tego punktu następniebudować analizę wstecz, (jak do tego doszło - co już jest dość dobrze udokumentowane) i w przód - jak tę pułapkę rozbroić. Najlepszą znaną mi opcją mógłby być polityczny projekt oparty na apoistowskim konfederalizmie demokratycznym, ale nie wyobrażam sobie, jak mógłby on powstać i przetrwać choć tydzień wobec nieuniknionej kontry obu stron konfliktu. Nic nie trwa wiecznie. Prędzej czy później walec Wszechkryzysu zmiażdży Palestynę i cały Lewant. Ale to oczywiście nie jest żadne pocieszenie.
