CosmicRami<p>There was a huge X-class solar flare yesterday on the Sun!</p><p>You can see it on the right-hand limb in these SDO images.</p><p>I find it so neat that we live next to, and can study, a star.</p><p>We take it for granted that it's "the Sun" and it's always in the sky, but there is a star and it is RIGHT THERE.</p><p>SDO's different filters allow us to look at different wavelengths of light which describe different regions, processes and temperatures of the solar environment. </p><p>Science is rad, hey.
