And colors! And no more pressing FX to select the boot loader! Ernie Smith<p>Got my Proxmox <a href="https://writing.exchange/tags/Hackintosh" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Hackintosh</span></a> back up and running, and with the right elements it’s a decent experience. The only downside is that Apple has locked down Mac so much that the newest OS my Xeon supports is Monterey. It runs great though.</p><p>I would like to use it for graphics stuff for those times I actually need Adobe stuff. I was using Parsec for a while, but it does not play nicely with it; finding Nomachine works pretty well, though.</p>

Patching the kernel and all that fun stuff. Eventually it was just too much and Leopard was a non-starter. You can now get a powerful Mac Mini for 499 or a <a href="https://twit.social/tags/MacBook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MacBook</span></a> Air for 699 that will last you a long time.</p>

Jiří Fiala Total Landscaping<p>Next to my M1 Pro MBP I have a pretty powerful <a href="https://mas.to/tags/Hackintosh" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Hackintosh</span></a> (i9 10850k, 64 GB RAM and a Radeon 6800 16GB) and MacOS just runs better on the very same hardware than Windows (right now, Sonoma vs 10). The highs are sometimes higher on Windows but the lows are much worse and more frequent. MacOS is all-round smoother. Both are on roughly the same performance dedicated NVMe drives.</p>
