Lisi Hocke<p>Gave my ensemble workshop "Capture the Flag Together: Security for Everyone" at the Software Teaming Online Conference today - so much learning, so much fun. 🤩 Thanks to everyone who joined, and thanks to my co-facilitator <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@lisacrispin" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>lisacrispin</span></a></span> - I had a blast! 😊 <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/SoftwareTeaming2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SoftwareTeaming2024</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/SoftwareTeaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SoftwareTeaming</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Ensemble" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ensemble</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Ensembling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ensembling</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Security" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Security</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/CTF" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CTF</span></a></p>
Ted M. Young<p>In today's Learning Ensemble, a lot of things around <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/EventSourcing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EventSourcing</span></a> became clear, as they do when you actually implement things.</p><p>We're just getting started using <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/TDD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TDD</span></a> to build an event-sourced aggregate, and already I clearly see the natural split between Commands Generate Events and Events Change State.</p><p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Ensembling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ensembling</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/MobProgramming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MobProgramming</span></a></p>
Lisi Hocke<p>We spent a full day <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ensembling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ensembling</span></a> with the majority of the team, first time ever! And it worked. We deliberately slowed down to go fast. We observed a lot, learned a lot, found a lot, fixed a lot - all in short time with direct fast feedback without waiting times or distractions.</p>
Ted M. Young<p>For the 18th time, I ignored my own advice to "discuss with code instead of out loud". (The idea is to write the code and see what it looks like—discuss based on a concrete implementation—instead of discussing in the abstract.)</p><p>One of the Ensemble members suggested it, but it took me a while to give in. I need a "discussion alarm" that goes off after 5 minutes.</p><p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/StillLearning" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>StillLearning</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Ensembling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ensembling</span></a></p>
