steev hiseI have so much to say about this article in the Washington Post about how artificial intelligence and data center expansion is causing increases in electricity rates this summer and people are having to sacrifice by letting their houses get up to 70°. Horrors!! What the fuck? It’s a real problem that rates are spiking but cmon, my house hasn’t been below 75, even at night for a couple months now. Even if I wanted to i couldn’t get it to 70 in the afternoons (even if i turned my ac down to 60°). But whatever, I’m comfortable at 80°. Strap in people - climate change is real.
