Prof Heino Falcke<p>The Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration has been awarded one of the 2025 Frontiers of Science Award for our work imaging the supermassive black hole in M87. The 2019 publication IV of the M87 series, presented the methods used for the first direct image of a black hole in M87 brought interferometric imaging to a whole new level. and has now been cited more than 1,300 times.
